Mr. Stanley M. Peel, of 802 North Main Street, Evart, died on May 7, 1974, after a lengthy illness at the Michigan Veterans Facility, Grand Rapids. He was 82 years old. He was born in Avondale, December 22, 1891, to Millard & Grace (Jenkins) Peel. He was married on Oct. 27, 1920, to Miss Bertha Miller, They had four children, of which one son, Maurice Edward, preceded him in death, on July 30, 1921; His wife Bertha also preceded him in death on Aug 10, 1960; he was married to Mrs. Nelson (Hilda K. Kushmaul) Peel on Jan 6 1961, a veteran of WWI. He was a former farmer and clerk of Hartwick township. Surviving are his wife, Hilda K., one son, lee of Farmington; two daughters, Miss Marjorie Peel of Johannesburg, South Africa; and Mrs. Orville (Esther) Allan of Farwell; three grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren, Services were held at 1:30 p.m. Friday May 10th, at the Corey Funeral Home, with burial in Cherry Valley Cemetery, Avondale.
