Mrs. Elizabeth BELL died suddenly at her home Monday noon, February 2, from a stroke of paralysis. Deborah Elizabeth FERGUSON was born near Indian Falls, Genesee County, New York, May 20, 1855. She departed this life February 2, 1925, being 69 years, eight months and 13 days of age. On June 6, 1875 she was united in marriage to Elias J. Bell of Penbrook, N.Y., who preceded her in death twelve years ago last December. To this union God gave seven children, five girls and two boys. Two daughters, Lillie and Hattie, in the tender years of childhood, preceeded them to the great beyond. Mr. and Mrs. Bell were early pioneers of Sylvan township, Osceola county, coming here from New York in the early days. Mrs. Bell has spent her last few years at her home on the corner of River and Fourth streets, Evart. She is survived by five children, Bert, Emory and Miss Ethel Bell, and Mrs. Edgar MOWAT of Evart, and Mrs. Wm. MENCH of Toledo, Ohio. One special joy of her life was her grandchildren, of which there are eleven. She was a most kind and loving mother, her first thoughts were always of home and family. Being naturally of a kind and sunny disposition, she was always doing a kindness or lending a helping hand to those in need or trouble. She leaves a host of friends and acquaintances. A loving one from us is gone. The sweetest voice been stilled, As empty spot in heart and home, It never can be filled. The funeral services were held at the late home at 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon, conducted by Rev. Fields of Avondale, and interment made in Forest Hill cemetery.
