Marriage Notes:
The Evart Review, Friday, April 8, 1887.
Millard Peel of Hartwick township, and Miss Grace Jenkins of Hersey, were married at the M. E. Parsonage in Evart, Jan. 5, by Rev. M. W. F. Smith. The event was not announced, however the intention being to have a wedding at some future time when fact of the real wedding would be announced. April 1 was the date selected, and the place was the residence of Mrs. Peel's parents in Hersey. Ther guests were assembled, but the surprise part of the program was somewhat changed for a member of the family had learned the facts in the case, and the joke was turned upon the would be perpetrators. This little slip added enjoyment to the occasion. May the next "April Fool" planned by this young couple be a success.
