her obituary was published in Caledonia Township, Kent County, Michigan, USA.
Cora May Miller, daughter of George and Eliza Peel, born September 12, 1877 in Cascade Township, was called home on January 30, 1957 at the age of 79 years, two months, and 18 days.

She was married to Isaac Miller on January 8, 1896, who preceded her in death on November 23, 1929. To this union was born nine children: Harry and Russell of East Caledonia, Howard of Cascade Township, Maynard of Hopkins, Bertha of Avondale, Eythol of Grand Rapids, Mildred and Virginia of Caledonia and Verne who died in infancy. Mrs. Miller also leaves beside her children, 26 grandchildren ( one of whom is a missionary in South Africa), 20 great-grandchildren, two sisters, Mrs. Nettie Hutchinson and Mrs. Jessie Graham, both of Grand Rapids, several nieces and nephews and a host of friends whom she cherished dearly.

Her last few months were busy ones, always making something for someone. It seemed at times the harder the pain, the faster her hands must work. She sensed the time was short so she felt she must never leave anything half done.

She first joined the Church at Cascade at the age of 15. Later she united with the Caledonia Methodist Church in 1903, and remained faithful through the years. She was the second oldest member of the local church. She was also a charter member of the East Caledonia W.S.C.S. , and was a member of the Golden Star Rebekah Lodge for many years.

Mr. and Mrs. Miller began life together at Whitneyville and then moved to East Caledonia and remained and where Mr. Miller passed away in 1929. In 1936 Mrs. Miller moved to Caledonia and remained here until her passing. The last years were very difficult, because of ill health for Mrs. Miller, as well as for those caring for her. Much satisfaction should come to the daughters, Mildred and Virginia and families with whom she lived and cared for her so graciously, as well as to all others who tried to make her last days less difficult.

Funeral services were held Sunday at 2:30 at the Caledonia Methodist Church. Rev. James Rodgers, officiating. Burial in Lakeview Cemetery.

Cora married Issac Rock Miller on 8 Jan 1896. (Issac Rock Miller was born on 12 Jun 1874 in Cascade Township, Kent County, Michigan, USA, died on 23 Nov 1929 in East Grand Rapids, Kent County, Michigan, USA and was buried in Caledonia, Kent County, Michigan, USA, Lakeview Cemetery.)
