BIRTH--MARRIAGE-SPOUSE--CHILDREN--RESIDENCES--DEATH--BURIAL: In HOUGH AND HUFF FAMILIES OF THE U.S., THE OLD NORTHWEST, Volume V, Granville W. Hough, copyright 1975 (viewed in the LDS Family History Library, Salt Lake City, Utah, in April 1999, microfilm XLIB 7-102#1101, item 5), there is a listing of Huff families from the 1850 U.S. Census, Michigan. On p. 121, under Montcalm County, John V. Huff is listed with informatiion on birth and death dates and locations, marriage, and residences; this source also states that "The couple settled 1855 in Greenville where they are buried."

PARENTS--BROTHERS: In an email from Cathy Dekker (ccwy@mindspring.com), she reports that the 1870 U.S. Census for Eureka Twp, Montcalm Co MI, on p. 67 (handwriten, page 1) lists: Huff, John 56 m. farmer, 6000, 800, b. NJ; Lydia 53 f, b. VT; Elizabeth 20 f. b. MI; John 15 m., b. MI (attended school within the year); and Fuller, Maribe 86 f., b. NH. Cathy also names Lydia's parents and two brothers.

Lydia married John V. Huff on 22 Jul 1835. (John V. Huff was born on 26 Apr 1814 in New Jersey, USA, died on 23 Dec 1885 in Greenville, Montcalm County, Michigan, USA and was buried in Greenville, Montcalm County, Michigan, USA, Forest Home Cemetery.)
